**About us**

WT Transport is a family owned business based on Swan Valley, Northampton.

We have many different departments, including warehouse, our own workshop team, customer services, and operational teams for both warehousing and traffic. We have grown organically and substantially over the years, now with a team of 85 employees, and moved into our newly built premises in Swan Valley in 2022.

We are now actively seeking new members to join our hardworking warehouse team and are looking for additional forklift operators on our PM Shift.

Our Section Leaders are responsible for the following;
- Receive and despatch goods in line with company safe systems of work
- Verify the condition of deliveries, ensuring you do not accept damaged goods
- Identify, document and address discrepancies
- Movement of goods around the warehouse/yard as required
- Ensure that all relevant documents are completed as per company standards
- Maintain accurate records in relation to movement and storage of goods
- Ensure that you meet deadlines to ensure the delivery of products to the clients in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and tidy truck at all times
- Ensure compliance to standards in respect of all company requirements
- Comply with all company policies, rules and procedures at all times
- Undertake training, development and re-assessments as required to meet legislative or organisational requirements
- Maintain a sound understanding of the distribution process and how these impact on the requirement for goods to be transport to, from and around the warehouse/yard.
- Ensure receipted goods are as expected and recorded accurately via the company scanning systems
- Ensure despatched goods are as expected and recorded accurately via the company scanning systems
- Accept and process returns for warehouse storage/onward distribution
- Be able to escalate any issues to the relevant party
- Promote a safe working environment for all employees by reporting all accidents or near misses
- Actively participate in good housekeeping throughout the warehouse and yard areas

**Experience**:

- Section / Team Leader experience in warehousing: 1 year (required)
- running a small team or section: 1 year (required)
