Norwich, United Kingdom St Stephens Gate Medical Partnership Full time

It is a challenging and exciting time to be working in General Practice. Ensuring patients have the right medications at the right time is essential to keeping them safe and well.

That’s why our medications team is at the heart of our work.

We are expanding our current medications operation and have an ambitious plan to add to our high-quality team to ensure our prescribing practice is first class.

We are looking for a Prescription Assistant to join the team. You may be experienced in general practice or looking to take the next step in your medical admin career. Experience of the NHS is likely to be an advantage but many of your future colleagues have joined from completely different sectors, especially retail. It may also suit someone used to data flows, or even bookkeeping, looking for a more patient focused role.

You will be working alongside a Senior Pharmacist and your training will be undertaken by the whole team, including GPs. We have a large team of Patient Coordinators who work alongside our Communications Team, Prescription Team, Medical Secretaries and Clinicians to offer outstanding patient care. We are a dual-site practice, based between St Stephens Gate Medical Centre and Newmarket Road surgery, and provide care for around 19,000 patients.

You will be joining a team with a Senior Pharmacist, a pharmacy Technician, and highly qualified admin team. It is integrated with the Recall and Comms team.

The working pattern is to be agreed for this full time position, but we can be flexible with the individual whether they would prefer a four day condensed working pattern (e.g., 8am - 6.30pm shifts 4 times per week), or a more standard Monday - Friday working pattern (e.g., 8.30am - 5pm), or even 4 slightly longer days and a half day (e.g. 4 x 8am - 5pm, 1 x 8am - 1.30pm). A good work-life balance and staff wellbeing is important to us, and we hope that a working pattern like this, an hour for lunch each day, and generous annual leave package can help with this. We would be happy to discuss alternative hours also.
- An attractive city centre location
- A culture of continuous learning, training and improvement
- A generous annual leave package which starts with five weeks annual leave plus Bank Holidays, pro rata, and with length of service can increase up to six weeks plus Bank Holidays, pro rata
- NHS pension

You will be able to work alongside a wide range of clinical colleagues and manage good levels of clinical responsibility in an enjoyable work environment.

We would be glad to show you around before an interview or chat through any questions you may have.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Benefits**:

- Company pension

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Work Location: In person
