We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Pharmacy Support Worker to join the team at HMP YOI Doncaster, a Category B male prison, with operational capacity of around 1145, 200 of which are aged between 18 - 20 years old.

This is a fantastic opportunity start or continue your career in Pharmacy and Healthcare - no previous experience is necessary, and we will support you with lots of training and development opportunities.

**Hours**

This is a bank role, and hours fall between 07:00 - 17:30.

**Salary**

This is a bank role, and the hourly rate is £15.80 per hour.

**What you'll be doing**:
As our new Bank Pharmacy Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

- Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team
- Second check medication before dispensing to patients on medication rounds
- Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines and transportation of medicines
- Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
- Work in the medication hatches on the wings
- Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals

Our new Bank Pharmacy Support Worker will have:

- No experience is necessary - we are looking for someone with a keen interest in Pharmacy, and keen to pursue a career in Pharmacy and Healthcare
- An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing would be a bonus, but isn't essential
- Ideally have medicines handling experience, although this isn't essential
- Be a hard worker, diligent, with a high attention to detail
