Based at Hinton House, Birchwood, you will support the Postal Team Leader in delivering the onsite postal service with the aim of surpassing expectations across all disciplines. Your main duties will include providing a professional distribution service to employees in the building, assisting them to fully benefit from the distribution services within the Facilities Department, thereby enhancing their experience and creating a comfortable and efficient working environment. You will assist with sorting incoming items, as well as the distribution and dispatch of items in a cost-effective, efficient, and safe manner. Additionally, you will help oversee the security of the building by noting any suspicious packages or visitors. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all facilities services are clean and operating at maximum efficiency, while developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal customers and business visitors. You will consistently maintain the professional image of the company, striving to improve its perception, and gain a good understanding of company activities and available services. Maintaining high standards of presentation, personal integrity, and customer support is essential. You will also provide cover for other Post Room Operatives during sickness, holidays, or project overloads, ensuring compliance with statutory and company policies, including Quality System BS EN ISO 9002, employment, and Health & Safety legislation. Adhering to the company's equal opportunities policy, you are encouraged to suggest ideas to improve services and distribution standards. You may also be asked to undertake other duties or projects as requested by your manager, attend training and development courses, and participate in meetings as required. A driving licence is essential, along with excellent customer service skills.
