**Avionic Supervisor**

Would you like to play a key part in working in conjunction with the Royal Air Force (RAF) and Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF)? We currently have a vacancy for an Avionic Supervisor at our site in RAF Coningsby.

As an Avionic Supervisor, you will be performing the Maintenance, Repair and Upgrade activities to meet the training requirements of the QEAF on a Forward Operation Squadron.

This role enables you to interact with the Royal Air Force and the Qatari Emiri Air Force where you will have the opportunity to train the Qatari’s and develop their engineering experience, it will also give you the opportunity to work within a fast paced, first line squadron environment and you will be directly impacting the success of this specific programme.

**Your main responsibilities as an Avionic Supervisor will involve**:

- Supporting the Sqn Engineering Management, Rectification Controller and BAE Systems Training Team Leader in managing Rectification and Maintenance tasks as dictated in order to produce Aircraft availability for the defined Sqn Flying/Training Program.
- Day-to-day People management and leadership of the combined training team workforce.
- Ensuring adherence to Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Publications in particular the Manual of Airworthiness Maintenance Processes (MAM-P), Company Policies, Quality Management, Health and Safety, Environmental Protection mandates.
- Providing and recording with your team and as directed by the Training Team Coordinator on the Job training to Qatar trainees arriving on the Sqn from RAF Cosford. Including Mentoring of QEAF personnel on a one to one basis and compiling evidence for subordinates to develop and complete on the job training.
- Maintaining authorisation levels and ensure all staff maintain and attend mandatory authorisation training.
- Providing guidance and leadership to QEAF delegates through ‘on the job training’ and formal assessment processes and demonstrates sound and comprehensive communication and people management skills in order to exchange complicated information.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and challenging inefficiency or poor working practices and supporting the Safety Management System of both the QR640 domain and that of the Company, proactively support Safety Action Groups, MEDA, QOR or DASOR investigations and the timely closure of MEMS.
- Conducting Independent Inspections as required and directed.

**Your skills and qualifications**:
**Essential Skills**:

- Proven experience on Type and you must hold a Typhoon Q qualification.
- Proven experience of working within a Typhoon Mechanical role (Technician and/or Supervisor level).
- Proven experience of using Microsoft Office Tools such as: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.
- Proven experience of excellent stakeholder management skills as you will be on customer site whilst working.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Proven knowledge of ESS.
- Proven knowledge of quality procedures, processes and specifications MRP Part M.
- Proven knowledge of Resolve and raising System Enquiries.
- Proven knowledge of Manual of Airworthiness Maintenance Processes (MAM-P).
- Proven experience of a Typhoon Operational Squadron role.
