Clayton Engineering Limited is a specialist engineering company based in Knighton, Powys. The company was recently acquired by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) for whom it manufactures lifeboat launch and recovery equipment.

The company is looking to recruit an experienced Stores Person to join our stores team and support in the receipt, warehousing and kitting of parts to support the manufacture of a range of high quality complex mechanical equipment including lifeboat carriages and lifeboat launch and recovery tractors.

Working Hours are: 8:00-17:00 Mon-Thu & 8:00-16:00 Fri (39 Hours per week)

Occasional UK Travel on company business for training.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Receive Materials; inspect parts, book-in and put away
- Kitting of Materials; pick to kit lists, deliver to production areas
- Unloading/Loading of deliveries and shipments
- Packaging of spares and shipments for dispatch
- Follow and complete operational paperwork and job cards to procedure
- Support the Stores Group Leader on all activities to ensure work is completed on time and to schedule
- Support the Stores Group Leader to maintain and upkeep accurate stock locations
- Maintain good housekeeping and standards in stores at all times
- Maintain good communication at all times with your line management and colleagues

**Qualifications required**
- Fork Lift Truck Licence - Essential
- Valid Driving Licence - Essential

**Experience required**
- Warehouse Familiarity
- Stock Control
- Inspection and Goods Receipt Expertise
- Similar role held previously
- Using ERP System or similar software for Stock Control (Desirable)

**Attributes**
- Able to work safely and efficiently
- Firm understanding of engineering drawings, processes and materials
- Basic I.T skills, good communicator, numeracy skills
- Smart appearance, punctual
- Attention to detail
