Salary**:£37.8k - £47.3k per annum (Dependent on skills & qualifications) PLUS either car or car allowance**

**THE ROLE**
We have an exciting role for a Land and Servitude Officer who will be responsible for providing support to the Land Policy Manager and Legal Property team by ensuring that the Company has the appropriate property consents and agreements in place to manageand protect the group property profile.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Negotiating with landowners, tenants, their land agents and/or solicitor to agree routes for pipelines to be laid, access routes, site acquisitions and disposals and to obtain consents for agreements reached while ensuring that positive working relationshipss are maintained between SGN and landowners, tenants, their land agents and/or solicitor to enable future negotiations to run smoothly.
- Ensure landowners and occupiers are left with a positive impression of SGN and and that obligations within the consents/legal documentation are fulfilled.
- Preparing and securing all associated statutory and planning consents and agree conditions acceptable to SGN through negotiation using skills and knowledge developed through experience in previous roles.
- Advising the business on crop loss, as appropriate, and compensation and disturbance claims.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- Highly motivated and eager to use your own initiative
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage multiple, varied projects to demanding deadlines.
- People person with a solid ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong communication skills to ensure effective passage of instructions and advice both written and orally.
- A high attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel throughout Scotland as required, for inspections and / or site meetings and to London for meetings as and when required.
- Comfortable and confident with Lone Working as well as being a team player.
- Understanding of the legal principles applicable to servitudes and land and the ability to give advice on leases would be beneficial but training will be provided
- Practical knowledge of agriculture land valuation practice and principles.
- Experience in infrastructure projects would be an advantage but not essential.
- Understanding of SGN and its role within the industry.
