**Role and Main Responsibilities**

To assure compliance to key parameters of the quality system by means of direct audit with main responsibility appraisal of component and finished product against key parameters.

Authority to quarantine and accept or reject non-conforming materials.
- Responsibilities for all lead auditors_
- Deputise in the absence of the QA Supervisor.
- Appraisal of key components and finished product against written quality parameters
- Collaborative approach with other departments to ensure adherence to site and legal requirements
- Complete initial risk assessments of incidents, investigate and escalate as required
- To ensure audits are carried out in line with pre-defined schedule
- Carryout and prioritise daily QA tasks
- Random live audit of process paperwork to ensure compliance
- Ensure all food safety, GMP, legality and quality requirements are adhered to
- To ensure appropriate product samples are collected as required
- A proactive approach to identification and investigation of non-conforming product or standards
- Communicate and provide information to customers and third-party auditors while on site
- Provide cover for other areas of the QA team as required
- Support completion of validation/calibration schedule as required
- Carry out verification of process controls e.g., environmental swabbing
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is available to check process controls, verification of critical pieces of equipment e.g., daily line sheets, scales, probes, metal detectors, checkweighers
- Audit production paperwork as required
- Trace and collect paperwork as required
- Complete testing and traces from defined schedule
- Initiate concessions as per procedure
- Technical liaison for contractors and service providers e.g., pest control in the absence of QA Supervisor
- Complete additional tasks as deemed reasonable by QA Supervisor/ QA Manager.

**Salary**: £26,900.00-£28,700.00 per year
