Graphic Designer

Are you a creative designer with a flair for cutting edge design?

We are looking for a talented, motivated and creative Graphic Designer to join our Communications team. We’re looking for a team player who will bring a wealth of knowledge and design skills to our busy and in demand Communications team. This role is an essential part of the Communications team, responsible for developing and delivering innovative design ideas and solutions across digital and print media. You should have:

- Experience of producing high quality, creative design work that follows NHS brand guidelines
- In depth working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong working knowledge of print techniques and technologies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as a team
- Good working knowledge of digital platform technologies and relationship between these and the design requirements of clients and key stakeholders.

The job role will involve working on site and remotely.

The Graphic Designer will play a key role in the corporate communications team and have an impact across the whole organisation. A key member of the team, the post holder will primarily support the delivery of internal and external communications through effective design and imagery to support the wider communications, media and PR activity at the Trust.

They will have responsibility for producing high quality design, both digital and paper based, to enhance the reputation of the Trust and increase engagement through the production of creative content. The post holder will play a vital role in promoting the Trust, its services and its commitment to patient care.

The post holder will support the Trust to deliver branded communications collateral ensuring assets are designed in line with the brand guidelines of the wider NHS and the Trust’s own distinctive style. There is opportunity for photography, videography and motion graphics and experience in these areas would be desirable.

An experienced graphic designer with excellent design and layout skills, the postholder will have a good understanding of digital communication platforms, and strong interpersonal and communication abilities as well as a keen eye for detail. The post holder will also be confident in the process of designing for print and confident in liaising with print houses.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.

The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services.
