**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a Head of Housing Management to lead the housing management elements of Social Interest Group’s housing services. You will inspire, lead, motivate, and guide a team of housing officers and frontline staff to ensure individual tenancies remain sustainable for as long as possible.

**ABOUT YOU**

We are looking for someone who is driven to effectively communicate ideas, plans, and directions to a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be keen on problem solving, thinking outside the box and able to demonstrate initiative. We are looking for someone who is organised, with strong planning skills and can understand the nature of our work and our stakeholders.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead the housing management service delivery and service offer. Deliver reliable, repeatable, and consistent services that resident’s value and are satisfied with. Ensure continuous improvement.
- Help establish performance indicators and targets in all areas of operation and monitor performance against these targets.
- Identify areas of under-achievement or non-performance and take action to address them.
- Keep abreast of new regulatory standards and performance standards.
- Provide various leadership and line management duties.
- Write operational reports for internal and external stakeholders, with verbal and non-verbal delivery of communication.
- Ensure contractual obligations are followed by the business and all our stakeholders.
- Make effective use of management systems and data to inform decision making.
- Administration duties will vary.

**SIG Policies and Data Protection**
- Maintain confidentiality in line with organisational policy in respect to residents, participants, staff, and business sensitive information.
- Adhere to SIG policies and data protection at all times.
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
- Promote a positive psychologically informed environment within the workplace.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.

**KEY CRITERIA**

What we are looking for:

- Extensive experience in a comparable role, including managing social housing services such as tenancy management, income management, debt recovery, voids and ASB
- Strong management and leadership experience
- Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and the current issues relating to social housing providers
- Ability to problem solve, make key decisions, and demonstrate initiative
- Customer service drive

What we would like, but not essential:

- Budget management
- Chartered Institute of Housing qualification
- Understanding of the need of vulnerable people and a passion to aid in the delivery of social justice
