**Baler Operator (Nightshift)**

An opportunity has arisen for a Baler Operator to join our Operations team based at our Newbridge site. This is a full-time, permanent role and will cover 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 3pm to midnight with optional overtime.

Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for the bailing of cardboard, polythene, paper, and any other target commodities. The successful applicant will be familiar with baler operations and will ideally have previous experience within the waste management sector.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities will include**:

- Inspection of incoming materials
- Bailing of cardboard, polythene, paper, and any other target commodities
- Safe handling and storage of baled material
- Loading & unloading of vehicles - mainly palletised and baled material
- Good housekeeping to keep the baler area clean and tidy
- Pre-use safety checks of balers and safety equipment as well as daily routine maintenance.
- Good timekeeping and attendance
- Adherence and respect for health and safety, especially demonstrating safe use and maintenance of machinery and forklift trucks
- **Experience and Qualifications**:

- A forklift truck licence is essential
- Experience in operating forklift trucks is essential
- Previous experience of working in baler operations within the waste management sector would be advantageous.
