**WestWork Engineering are currently seeking a BREEAM assessor to join a team of engineers and sustainability professionals.**

**About the role**:
The role would best suit someone with industry experience as it is intended that the successful applicant will be able to pick up and develop several projects with a limited amount of assistance.

**Your responsibilities will typically be expected to comprise**:

- Undertake BREEAM New Construction scheme assessments
- Understanding & working to current UK legislation, British Standards and Codes of Practice
- Communicating progress on projects and any concerns
- Working within the agreed budget on tasks as set by the lead consultant
- Assisting with/ representing the company at meetings
- Attending & organising meetings with architects, developers, and the wider design team
- Complying with company internal quality assurance procedures

**It is expected that you demonstrate**:

- Experience of carrying out BREEAM New Construction (NC) scheme assessments
- Working knowledge of the other BREEAM schemes (RFO / BIU as an example)
- BREEAM NC assessor certification
- Awareness of broader sustainability issues (e.g. LCA and embodied carbon, operation carbon, passive design, health & wellbeing, post occupancy evaluation, low impact materials, water, waste, environmental economics, etc.)

**Advantageous to have**:

- BREEAM AP certification
- Membership of a relevant professional institute
- A willingness to learn a variety of different sustainability assessment methods such as LEED, WELL, Fitwel etc., and modelling software
- Experience of producing:

- Planning reports and presentations with excellent visual and grammatical quality
- Renewable energy technology feasibility studies
- Part L compliance analysis modelling
- Thermal comfort & overheating modelling (e.g. TM52)
- Heating & cooling load calculations
- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A willingness to learn about risk management, financial management and commercial awareness

**Benefits**:

- Salary is negotiable depending on experience
- Annual bonus and salary review in December (this is based on performance)
- 25 days holiday plus bank holiday with the allowance increasing up to 28 days

**Salary**: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
