We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to work with a 13 year old girl with an acquired brain injury in her own home and the community. Her family home is a busy, active home.
The role will require the ability to support the young girl with activities, therapy, access community activities, life skills and for the nights help with sleep routines and be part of her family life.
A sense of humour and fun is essential to build a relationship. A calm and caring nature is essential to understand or learn about a young person whose behaviour may be challenging when she is struggling in a situation. A flexible approach can be required to support the young person through the day.
You will be working alongside a supportive team and supported by her parents, case manager and therapy team.
Administrative duties are an essential part of the job role which require both written and verbal communication. Task to include but not limited to: maintaining daily records, reporting all changes to the young girls care needs, attending meetings, liaising with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and case managers and following therapy and care plans.
Experience of working with young people with an acquired brain injury, communication difficulties and behaviours that challenge is desirable, however, having the right attitude and attributions is more important and training will be provided for working with this young lady. To help the young lady access the community, having a clean driving licence with 2 years experience of driving and a willingness to drive a large vehicle is desirable.

Permanent, Part-time, Full-time and bank. Night shifts workers are particularly required.
