We are a UK based, full fibre provider that is rolling out a new 1 gigabit per second broadband network to homes and businesses across the UK.

With an average broadband speed of 64mbps, the UK is ranked amongst the lowest in Europe for its poor internet connectivity. Over the next 5 years, the UK government has set a target to connect a further 20 million homes to full fibre broadband.

**The Role**

This is an exciting role for someone looking to join a growing delivery team to build a large scale fibre to the home network. Reporting to the Civils Manager, as a Trainee Civil Operative, you will have a chance to develop and progress to help the future growth of the business, being mentored and trained by our experienced team.

Your key purpose will be to ensure that work is completed it to a high standard, and you are working in a safe manner. Delivering works on time and reporting any issues to your gang lead on a day to day basis. You will be liaising with the public and residents regarding any disruption caused to maintain good relationships with, as well as ensuring health and safety requirements are met.

**About you**
We are looking for people who are looking to develop their career in the Fibre industry as a Civils Operative and who are willing and able to learn on the job. You will be a self starter and have a desire to learn new things and get involved. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to talk with all key stakeholders on a day to day basis.

You will be a decisive thinker and confident to put into practice what you have learnt. We want team players who are willing to get stuck in and support the wider team where required.

This role will be supported by training that we expect all our trainees to take part in and put into practice out on the build.

Experience of FFTP build is preferred as is the confidence to be working on the underground network and in the use of power tools. Any manual labour experience is helpful too.

**Other**

We require you to have a Full UK clean driving licence for this role.

**Location**

Location - We have work currently in the Bradford, Burnley and Manchester regions however this may change based on the business requirements. This role will involve travel between site, home and any other business locations around the UK.

Salary - up to 25k
