**Accrofab (Alcester) is recruiting for a Setter/Operator - Press working 39 hours per week.**

**Shift Pattern**: Working 07.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday with a 15-minute paid break at 10.30 and a 30-minute unpaid break at 13.00, and Fridays from 07.30 to 12.30 with a 15-minute paid break at 10.30.

Location: Accrofab (Alcester) - B49 6EH

**Main duties and responsibilities: Responsibilities specific to the role.**
- Use and control of Presses in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, tool shut[1]height, stroke, tonnage, dwell and lubrication
- Understanding of and safe use of air tools and hand tools.
- Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Complete press operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels.

**General responsibilities**
- Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements and report any concerns to supervision.
- Read and understand the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out.
- Ensure that all the documentation required to carry out the operation in accordance with the Job Card is available at the point of use and at the correct revision.
- Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Machine and Tooling Set Up Packs as required, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Inspection

Plans etc.
- Use of all measuring equipment as necessary to check conformance to requirements.
- Carry out in process inspection in accordance with requirements to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations.
- Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.
- Complete all work booking requirements within the MRP system to ensure accurate WIP records.
- Follow work handling and storage instructions to prevent damage to components.
- Support Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs to prevent reoccurrence.
- Carry out and record all TPM activities in accordance with the specified schedule for the equipment being operated.
- Ensure that work areas are tidy, cleaned and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements.
- Engage and contribute to Continuous Improvement activities to maximise efficiency. - Comply with all company procedures and policies

- 1/2 years’ experience in the Aerospace Industry/ Engineering/ Manufacturing/Any industry involving machine setting and operating in a similar role is desirable
- Must become familiar with quality & manufacturing standards and maintain and achieve specified targets and objectives in line with business requirements
- Productivity and familiarisation with a range of presses.
- Willing to learn, positive, patient.
- Positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- Takes full ownership of their area of responsibility
- Disciplined and self-motivated
- Has a strong team work and supportive mentality
