Mechanics Mate

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a mechanics mate to help on the day to day running of the workshop this will involve helping mechanics on the below tasks

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting with the maintenance and repair of mechanical sweepers
- Preparing tools and materials needed for repair or installation jobs.
- Cleaning and maintaining the work area, tools, and equipment.
- Handling basic mechanical tasks under supervision (e.g., replacing parts, tightening bolts, lubricating machinery).
- Observing and learning from experienced mechanics to develop skills and knowledge.
- preparing trucks for new driver cleaning inside and out
- going out on the road in company van to fit brushes to sweepers
- collect parts from suppliers

**Requirements**:

- Basic mechanical knowledge or aptitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver’s license is required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week
