Contract Technology Project Manager required by gloabl insurer manage the final phase & Go-Live of a Cloud migration of Atlassian products including Jira, Bitbucket & Confluence from on premise. Including;
- Working with 3rd Party & internal resource define cut-over plan and business readiness
- Define the support model (post Go-Live & ongoing) with 3rd party agreements
- Ensure final business engagement, testing acceptance and cut over
- Support Hypercare & Support
- Prioritise & assess Change Requests (including Additional template migrations, Add-ons & CICD) for a post Go-Live phase.
Description
- Manage other allocated projects that may be complex, large-scale and/or high-risk that involve multiple senior internal and external stakeholders using appropriate methodologies and toolsets.
- Partner with project sponsors / stakeholders to define project scope, priorities, timelines, milestones, deadlines, plans, RAID, resource plans and deliverable schedules.
- Assist with the analysis of, drawing up & gaining agreement of business & technical requirements
- Anticipate issues and delays and evaluates trade-offs between project size, complexity, cost, risk, etc. effectively assessing and resolving high-priority project risks.
- Work with team to develop activities and assign to resources, supervises work and ensures adherence to established quality and risk management standards and methodologies. Escalating issues as appropriate along with proposals for resolution
- Facilitate discussions and consensus among various project stakeholders, including the facilitation of the Project Steering Committee.
- Coordinate work with team. Eliciting clear progress updates with transparency and realism regarding risks and issues.
- Monitor and reporting on project status via the business' PPM solution.
- Manage and monitors the project plan, budget and expenditures.
- Ensure all projects adhere the business' standards for project methodology, governance, reporting and risk management.
**Qualifications, Expertise and Attributes**
- Ideally 5+ years
- (Re)Insurance / Financial Services experience and knowledge of the Longevity markets would be an advantage
- Ideally experience of manging Atlassian or similar product Cloud Migrations from Business Readiness through to technical readiness.
- Experience of working in a growing and maturing business environment
- Comfortable working in variety of delivery methods / styles; Waterfall, Agile & Hybrid
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Data & analytical expertise, ability to elicit, agree and articulate business requirements
- Ability to navigate challenges and be able to implement technology solutions to address business challenges or needs
- Expert planning, control and monitoring skills
- Solid understanding of the importance of and adherence to Risk Management standards
- Strong communication skills with the gravitas to interact at Senior Leadership levels
- Worked with a range of stakeholders from users through to leadership
- Able to interact with and challenge as appropriate senior Business and Tech people
- Significant experience in leading project teams and stakeholder management
- Experience managing and partnering with multiple 3rd party vendors
- Drive business change and outcomes not just project deliverables
- Defined, managed and agreed support models and service acceptance criteria
- Strong understanding of project and programme methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, APM)
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Knowledge and experience of using PPM solutions; Ideally PPO, Jira, MS 365
