This is an exciting opportunity to join the Wanstead & Woodford District Nursing Team in Redbridge. The post holder will be responsible for managing a defined group of patients and will also be supporting the qualified staff member to nurse patients individually in their own homes.
- Work as part of the team to provide care to patients in their own homes.
- Responsible for own work and that of others within a broad framework.
- Carrying out and monitoring treatment as per care plan.
- Forming part of an interdependent multi-disciplinary team helping to ensure that their input is integrated in to the patients overall care and treatment plans.
- Promoting the recovery of patients and maintain their independence in the community.
- Car Driver Essential
- Working hours may include the need to cover bank holidays and an occasional weekend rostered on duty

**COVID Vaccinations**
The successful applicant will be an NHS employee and may therefore have contact with vulnerable service users. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been necessary to take significant steps to protect the health and safety of our staff, service users and those attending our sites. To comply with our duty of care we require our staff to have the COVID vaccine and we will ask for proof of vaccination during the recruitment process. Vaccination will be a condition of employment unless an exemption applies.

**Assessment/Interview info**
At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. If you are shortlisted, invited for interview and successfully offered the post, you will be required to undertake an assessment for these skills during the pre-employment checks.
**Starting with NELFT**
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction.
**High Cost Area Supplement - London**
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £3,899 and a maximum payment of £4,968).
