**Job Summary**

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Surface Preparation**:Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and filling.

**Material Selection**:Select and mix paints, varnishes, and other materials to achieve desired colours and finishes.

**Project Work**:Work on various projects, including new builds, renovations, and refurbishments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

**Collaboration**:Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as decorators, joiners, and plasterers, to ensure seamless project execution.

**Health and Safety**:Adhere to company health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.

**Communication**:Effectively communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and any issues are addressed promptly.

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Education**:SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ).

**Certification**:Ideally you will have a CSCS card or the ability to obtain one

**Experience**:Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a maintenance or construction environment.
- **Knowledge**:
Environmental knowledge regarding disposal of paint and other materials.

Knowledge of the correct PPE that must be used
- **Skills**:
Proficiency in painting and decorating techniques.

Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.

Strong attention to detail and colour matching
- **Technology**:Be comfortable with smartphones/tablets for accessing work schedules and as a communication tool.
