**Overview**:
As an Automotive Parts Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the parts department within an automotive dealership or repair shop. Your primary responsibilities will include managing inventory, overseeing parts sales, coordinating with service departments, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations and contributing to the profitability of the dealership or repair facility.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Inventory Management**:
- Maintain accurate inventory records of automotive parts and accessories.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder parts as necessary to meet demand.
- Implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and reduce costs.
- **Parts Sales**:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients seeking automotive parts.
- Assist customers in identifying the correct parts for their vehicles.
- Process parts orders efficiently and accurately.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner.
- **Staff Management**:
- Supervise parts department staff, including parts clerks and delivery personnel.
- Train new employees on parts inventory systems, sales techniques, and customer service standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork within the department.
- **Vendor Relations**:
- Establish and maintain relationships with automotive parts suppliers and manufacturers.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Evaluate vendor performance and seek opportunities for improvement or alternative suppliers.
- **Financial Management**:
- Monitor parts department expenses and revenue to ensure profitability.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize margins while remaining competitive.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports related to parts sales and inventory management.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth within the parts department.
- **Quality Assurance**:
- Ensure the quality and authenticity of automotive parts in inventory.
- Implement processes to verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and outgoing orders.
- Address any issues related to defective or incorrect parts promptly and effectively.
- **Compliance**:
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines governing the automotive parts industry.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to parts sales, inventory, and transactions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, product updates, and regulatory changes affecting automotive parts.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in automotive parts management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and accessories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and computer systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members.

**Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional certifications or coursework in automotive parts management, business administration, or related fields preferred.
**Salary**: £28,000.00-£29,500.00 per year
