An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant at our ‘outstanding’ secondary school. St Mary’s RC High School is a close-knit Catholic community and a highly effective and oversubscribed voluntary aided 11-16 school. We are blessed with a highly dedicated and talented staff team who collectively help to achieve the strongest of outcomes for our pupils.
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and excellent communication skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with children who may display challenging behaviour
- An empathic, patient and caring approach and the ability to support children struggling with expectations and boundaries and/or academic progress
- An understanding of the needs of children who may have social, emotional and mental health needs
- A good basic level of education
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability in term time during normal school hours

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £13,535.00-£14,716.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week
