The Caversham Group Practice is a large GP practice in Kentish Town, North West London. We are professional, caring and patient focused, and our goal is to provide excellent NHS Primary care to our registered patients.

**Job description**
We hope to meet people who are looking to join a team, settle into a role and make a positive contribution to our practice and patient populations.
Past experience working as an administrator or similar role in a GP practice would be advantageous, especially for those who have experience working towards national Targets and KPIs such as QOF, IIF & LCS.
A 2 week initial induction followed by ongoing support is provided for all new starters.
This is a 5 day week working pattern, between the hours of 08:00 -18:30 Monday to Friday. This role requires attendance at the practice in person. This is not a hybrid or work from home vacancy.

- Monday 10:30 - 18:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Tuesday 08:00 - 16:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch)

Thursday 10:30 - 18:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Friday 08:00 - 16:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch)
As a GP Practice Assistant your role may vary depending on the needs of the business. You will handle many patient interactions daily, either via the switchboard or face to face at the reception.
Your core role will be in the administration and call and recall team; however you will also be trained in other aspects of the front of house teams activities.
You will need to work in an organised way and be as efficient as possible with regards to the practice resources to provide excellent patient centred care while also achieving NHS targets outcomes.
Dealing with the public is never an easy job, especially at the moment when the NHS is under such intense pressure. This role has its unique challenges. **Salary**: £12.73 per hour while in probationary period, there after pay rises to £13.30ph upon successful completion of probation.
Your post probation salary at 35 hours a week is equivalent to an annual salary of £23,842
**Before you apply, please ensure you**:
- Are happy to work in a Health Care setting where patients are being seen face to face and you will be their first contact with the practice.
- You are available to work Monday - Friday on site at the practice. This is not a hybrid or work from home role.
You are available to work the shift patterns we operate, as per the example above
- Can work occasional Saturdays with notice provided if required by the practice. (Approximately 2 or 3 a year)
- Can attend a face-to-face interview at the practice if invited to do so within 1 week of the closing date of this job advert, if not sooner.
Essential Skills:
- good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients and other stake holders
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work activities
Desirable skills:
- Previous experience working with targets in an NHS setting such as QOF Call and recall or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in the use of Emis Web (or similar NHS patient record software)
Proven track record in working towards targets and KPI's
