**FPGA Engineer**
An exciting position has arisen within a leading UK defence client, who develop innovative capabilities for air, land, sea and target systems. They have over 40 years' global experience in electronic warfare systems, are recognised experts in the EW domainand cover all aspects of radar and electronic warfare solutions.
Currently, they are looking to bring aboard an FPGA Engineer, to join their team working with technical software and RF systems.
**Role**
In this role you will be designing, implementing and testing of navigation, cryptographic or DSP devices. You will also be developing complex algorithms and interface within a model-based framework.
**Responsibilities**
- You will be responsible to Project Design Authority for all firmware related activities
- Specify and Develop FPGA/ASIC solutions
- You will plan work effectively, including breaking down problems into manageable work packages
- You will have the ability to accurately cost work and manage risk
- You will be producing written documentation of technical work in accordance with Project requirements
**Essential**
- Degree in Electronics or similar
- VHDL or Verilog programming and debug
- Experience with simulation / synthesis tools such as Quartus, ModelSim, Synplify, Vivado etc
- Experience designing and implementing DSP solutions and systems in FPGA
