We are looking for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Special Schools team.
Speech and Language Therapists are core to the efficient service delivery that we provide to children, young people and their families.
As a Speech and Language Therapist in our service, you will deliver care to children, young people and their families in special schools.
You will be working within our well-established, supportive and dynamic Special Schools team. In your allocated schools you will provide assessments for children with complex communication needs and deliver interventions in line with the Balanced Model of working which includes training school staff and leading AAC in school. You will be based at two special schools in Waltham Forest and will support and line manage a small team of therapists in school.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
