Baker

Rise bakery is an artisan bakery based in Bridport. We specialise in sourdough. We have been supplying our restaurants, shop and the local area for over 5 years.

We pride ourselves on quality.

We are looking for someone to join our night production team.

We bake from 7pm to 4pm 7 nights a week.

The hourly rate is £13 for someone with the right experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met in the kitchen
- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to achieve desired results
- Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and production needs
- Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
- Clean and maintain baking equipment and utensils

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Proficient in food preparation techniques, including mixing, kneading, shaping, and proofing dough
- Experience working as a cook or baker in a restaurant or bakery setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Knowledge of different baking techniques and methods
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and scales
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Creativity in decorating baked goods
