**Motor Vehicle Technician - £20,000-£45,000 DOE - Wetherby, West Yorkshire**

**The Role
Are you a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician, looking to take on a new challenge? Are you an exceptional problem solver with a high level of attention to detail?If so, we have an exciting new opportunity for you.

We are an independent Jaguar Land Rover specialist seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join our Wetherby team. Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship make us different from the rest and we want new team members to share our ethoswhilst encouraging new ideas to be brought to the table that could help us improve.

On-site training will be provided on our diagnostic software of SDD, Pathfinder and Autologic. Third-party training will be provided for air conditioning machines, gearbox flushing equipment and Picoscope as and where required.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Motor Vehicle Technicianinclude, but are not limited to:

- Carry out a range of diagnostics and undertake a wide range of servicing and repair work.
- Ensure effective use of technical knowledge including the use of special tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Analyse job cards and diagnostic information carefully to understand the vehicle's condition and what is required.
- Communicate with other members of staff about the vehicles and jobs within the workshop.
- Jaguar Land Rover knowledge is preferable; however, training will be given.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Motor Vehicle Technicianare:

- City and Guilds/NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) is preferable but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Possess a good selection of own general hand tools.
- 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Highly organised and be thorough with great attention to detail.
- Ability to think on your feet & respond to complications calmly and efficiently.
