Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.

The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the **bar high** in their highly complex market

**Vacancy Details**
In the NDT Inspector position you will ensure the quality and integrity of our structural steel fabrication processes through a range of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.

Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Perform Visual Inspection (CSWIP 3.0), Magnetic Particle Inspection (PCN MPI Level 2), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT PCN 3.1/3.2) to company and industry standards.
- Inspect welded components to verify compliance with project specifications and relevant regulations.
- Accurately interpret and evaluate NDT results according to applicable standards.
- Create and maintain detailed inspection reports and records.
- Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Welding, and Production teams to maintain high fabrication standards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Uphold compliance with all company procedures, health & safety policies, and quality standards.

**Key Skills & experience**

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll have experience in NDT inspections within the structural steel or heavy fabrication sectors as well as strong understanding of welding techniques and defect recognition.
- CSWIP 3.0 - Visual Inspection certification.
- PCN MPI Level 2 - Magnetic Particle Inspection qualification.
- UT PCN 3.1/3.2 - Ultrasonic Testing certification.
- UT 3.7 PCN qualification (advantageous).
- Experience working to ISO 9712 and EN 1090 standards.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures within a structural steel environment.
