Haddington Care Home is looking to recruit a Maintenance Officer.

Our purpose-built care home, established in 2018, offers exceptional levels of Nursing, Residential & Dementia Care for up to 68 residents

As Maintenance Officer, you will ensure the building and equipment is maintained to a high standard, always keeping our residents and staff safe and comfortable. To ensure everyone is comfortable and protected, you will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required.

**Maintenance Officer Contract**
- £12.00 per hour
- Contracted to 37.5 hours per week
- 6.4 weeks annual leave (Based on a full-time contract)
- Pension
- Onsite parking
- PVG

**Your main duties will include**
- Perform minor repairs
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
- Install appliances and equipment
- Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
- Maintain, service, clean and properly store equipment
- Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
- Inspect and repair all damages to building surfaces
- Participate in different projects (e.g. renovations)
- Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required depending on the home’s requirements, and you will be on-call for emergencies.
