Barista/baker

**Job Overview**

The role will also include the making and serving of drinks and cakes within the cafe, with space to work with coworkers to make seasonal specials. The cafe is a busy place, and we have lots of plans to develop this year, so someone with experience and the ability to work independently will thrive.

**Duties**
- Prepare and bake a wide range of products, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
- Some pastry lamination experience would be a plus.
- Some sourdough experience woule be a plus but not essential.
- This role involves early starts as part of a regular schedule.
- Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during the preparation and baking processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the baking area, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages as needed.
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items based on seasonal ingredients or customer preferences.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

**Qualifications**
- Food safety qualifications desired but not essential.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurement of ingredients.
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
