**Key Responsibilities**

You will be accountable for building our offering and shaping the team. Your key responsibility is to build a strategy and budget to ensure the business is both operationally capable and regulated to service customers in the healthcare sector within thefirst 6 months. Engaging with business leaders across the group on the strategy will be critical in gaining support and momentum in taking our proposition to market.
**Skills Knowledge and Expertise**
- Identifying and supporting the training requirements through the business on compliance, responsible people and operational staff & constantly promote best in class service delivery in conjunction with business leaders.
- Identifying a pipeline of potential customers and build a strategy to market to and prospect, in conjunction with the business development teams. Acting as sponsor to provide related customer information and the expertise to close opportunities. This pipelineshould lead with medical devices in the first 6 months to start to deliver some return on investment whilst building full capability.
- Building tailored operating procedures with customers and the business units to successfully implement new traffic.
- Leading customer reviews and KPI monitoring on accounts, based on agreements made on implementation.
- Growing the return in excess of investment at 12 months and increasing revenue and profitability by 24 months
- Investing time in maintaining your position as industry expert through research and networking, sharing that knowledge with potential & established customer and the Uniserve business.
- Providing feedback to Senior Managers and Directors on market information, competitor activity and industry trends which may impact the strategy.

The role could suit a manager working as part of a team in a Healthcare vertical for a **logistics / frieght forwarding** provider and you are looking to step up and take the lead. Or you could be leading a successful healthcare division and feel ready for a new challenge, bringing your knowledge and network within this sector tofurther develop our expertise in the healthcare sector. Either way you will demonstrate the following:

- Proven track record of leading teams in the freight forwarding industry
- Number of years experience developing a pharmaceutical vertical and building a successful business unit within a logistics related business
- Established relationships with senior management across the pharmaceutical industry
- Strategic thinking and able to develop the business case and plan for a commercially viable service offering
- Strong communicator and relationship management engaging internal stakeholders and external clients
- Team building and people development

International travel, where a measurable return on investment can be achieved, will be part of the role to increase customer engagement, or develop the overseas partner strategy
