Deputy Chief Operating Officer - Urgent Care and Flow
East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for an inspiring and credible leader with significant senior operational experience to become The Deputy Chief Operating Officer (DCOO) Urgent Care and Flow
You will bring significant senior operational experience at divisional level from within a large complex organisation, be used to providing expert advice to colleagues on all appropriate operational issues, ensuring the achievement of NHS constitutional standards, in particular ED performance, and patient flow

The DCOO will oversee the operational management of the two acute hospital sites, Eastbourne District General Hospital and Conquest Hospital, focussing on acute flow both in and out of hours, ensuring Trust bed resources are used to maximum efficiency, while ensuring safety, quality, and performance are delivered.
As the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, there will be a requirement at times to lead on key areas of improvement or development across the full remit of the Chief Operating Officer.
The post holder will have a key role as a system leader and will lead on planning for peak periods demand.
The emphasis on clinically led, managerially enabled will be at the forefront of senior leadership within the operational culture.
