Maidstone, United Kingdom Kent County Council Full time

Advert
Do you have the skills to inform and engage people in Kent, our workforce and partner organisations about important national changes in social care? Can you listen to others, put yourself in someone’s shoes and create clear, jargon-free communications that set how changes may affect them? Can you help to make a difference and put people at the centre of the support they need?

If this describes you, then you could be the person we are looking for. We are seeking a dedicated professional to work across an important programme of work. This role will be part of the Stakeholder Engagement team that covers the Adult Social Care and Health directorate to improve awareness, participation and communication both internally and externally. However, the postholder will have the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders and have direct links to the wider council.

The successful applicant will implement targeted, accessible, end-to-end communication and engagement activities in line with council policies and deliver a comprehensive communication and engagement plan that covers the key implementation areas of the new national social care reforms

This is a hands-on role, and every day will be different, so if you enjoy the buzz of working with a multiskilled programme team both virtually and/or in-person, this role will suit you well. If you have experience of the following activities, then please apply:

- producing clear, concise and accessible information for a range of audiences
- driving engagement to meet equality, diversity and inclusion objectives across multiple channels
- working closely in partnership with a variety of stakeholder groups
- creating campaigns that drive meaningful change.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
