Content Writer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Content Writer to join CLOUD NINE and be an integral part of our expanding marketing team based in Harrogate. Reporting to our Marketing Manager, this is an amazing opportunity for someone who has a passion for both writing and content creation as well as the hair/beauty/wellbeing industry. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and creative wordsmith who takes pride in crafting engaging copy, to drive all aspects of written content creation.

This is a full-time position based at our Harrogate HQ, North Yorkshire.

**As a Content Writer at CLOUD NINE, you'll**:

- Be the guardian of CLOUD NINE’s tone of voice across multiple channels, ensuring consistent, accurate messaging
- Work collaboratively with representatives from a variety of teams - marketing, PR, digital, paid media, design, social, art direction, retailers and external agencies to deliver projects on schedule and to a high standard
- Possess a strong understanding of SEO principles to maximise reach across all digital platforms
- Have a creative mind, enjoy contributing ideas and creating strong, engaging content across all channels, crafting compelling user journeys
- Demonstrate versatility across all types of writing: short copy, long copy, headlines and all facets of internal and external communication, specifically
- Create compelling copy for category, brand and seasonal landing web pages
- Produce high-quality blog posts on industry-relevant topics that implement SEO best practise to address user queries and interests
- Write long-form SEO-rich editorial features which bring key brand moments to life, reflect our brand values and showcase our product in an elevated way.
- Create powerful content for CLOUD NINE’s Healthy Hair Hub website. Working closely with our Healthy Hair Hub experts, made up of our Group Education Manager, top stylists and trichologists, supported by science and backed by research, bringing the knowledge to life
- Write copy for all new web pages and refresh existing copy, utilising SEO knowledge
- Draft ad copy for paid media, working closely with our external agency
- Lead in the development of the content calendar, constantly reviewing and feeding in learnings
- Execute all assigned work and projects within allocated timeframes whilst ensuring all deliverables are met to the highest standard
- Review copy written by other team members, third parties and retailers, making sure it adheres to our brand tone of voice
- Work on larger-scale projects with retailers, writing copy in line with the retailer’s and CLOUD NINE’s requirements
- Drive competitor analysis to feed into industry updates
- Confidently test new approaches to copy, experiment with tone, and analyse what works best to continuously enhance customer experience and engagement
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability review user behaviour and feedback to inform and refine copy strategies. You will confidently create reports using social analytics and data, reporting on KPIs

**Desired Skills & Experience**
- Minimum three-years of experience as a content writer, copywriter or similar role, with a proven record for writing compelling copy
- Solid understanding of SEO copywriting skills with experience increasing organic rankings and site conversions
- A portfolio of strong creative work with a track record of crafting excellent ideas and knowledge of what works on different channels
- Excellent written English, impeccable grammar, spelling and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
- Knowledgeable of the hair, beauty and wellness industry preferred and a genuine interest in consumer trends
- Understanding of reporting and analysis of engagement and conversion rates
- Ability to proactively prioritise, manage and complete multiple projects within time constraints - working on several deadline-orientated projects simultaneously
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to create intelligent and engaging copy
- Excellent sense of responsibility, time management and strong organisational skills
- Outstanding communication skills, a good sense of humour and ability to work effectively across teams
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush and Teams.
