**Job Title**: Warehouse Shift Team Leader
**Location**: Leeming Bar
**Salary**: £33,500 with an increase after 6 months
**Hours**: Monday - Friday (3-week shift rotation) 6-2/2-10/10-6
**Job Type**: PermanentImperial Professionals are delighted to announce we are working with a large manufacturer based in Leeming Bar who are looking to appoint a Warehouse Shift Team Leader on a full time - permanent basis.
**Responsibilities**:
Ensure all Company Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times. Always working in a health and safety conscious manner whilst being aware of any issues that may arise from individual’s actions
Ensure effective and relevant information is communicated to colleagues to eliminate misunderstandings to ensure good working relationships are maintained.
Support shift handovers.
To be an enthusiastic, positive, self-motivated and pro-active team member, committed to successfully achieving the goals and objectives as an individual as well as looking at the team and Company collectively.
Prepared to accept and adopt new challenges and changes in plan
To supervise, facilitate and foster good working relationships with colleagues across the business
To have a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to stand in for the supervisor when requiredLead by example at all times
To be pro-active and continuously seek to improve equipment, process, people methods and procedures, whilst encouraging direct colleagues to do the sameSupport in other areas of the business within reason.
To take ownership for your own development with support of the management team.
To Mentor/train others within the team to ensure that the expected standards are met.
Support the Supervisor on shift with personnel matters/investigations including reporting.
Ensure all warehouse functions perform efficiently on shift.
Ensure that the right decisions are made in a timely manner, even when under pressure.
Ensure accurate controls are in place for all warehouse functions.
Ensure accurate and timely communications with all departments.
Ensure operations are cleared with no unexplainable downtime.
Ensure picking and loading is done in a timely manner.
Oversee the Robot Operation and operators to ensure agreed inventory levels are maintained.
Ensure housekeeping is performed to keep racking space available.
Carry out any FLT functions as any job dictates to support the department needs.Support all requirements for Audit and Customer Visits.
Assist to support the yearly stock takes.
Carry out office administrative duties as required.
Provide continuous Health & Safety monitoring.Liaise closely with shift supervisor/manager at all times.
**Requirements**:
Literate with good command of English & communication skills.
Strong IT abilities (Excel is paramount).
Reliable & with excellent timekeeping.
Ability to perform under pressure
Ability to use mechanical handling equipment with appropriate certification (Reach/Counterbalance).
A good sense of responsibility to plant & fellow work colleagues.
An awareness of safe working practices & general warehousing health & safety requirements.
A can do approach to challenges & a positive attitude.A team player with a positive approach to flexible work practices.
Ability to liaise under own initiative with other departments in order to maximise plant efficiency.
Demonstrate flexibility with regards to working hoursPrevious experience within a FMCG warehouse environment.
Maintain a flexible and positive attitude to the needs of the business.
Assisting other Team Members, offering help and sharing knowledge whenever possible.
Use problems as a learning opportunity, using the appropriate problem-solving tools and techniques to lead to the desired outcome.
Friendly enthusiastic, positive nature with a 'can do’ attitude.
