**Overall purpose of the role**
As a Finance Assistant, you will monitor all transactions as they contribute to or detract hotel revenue.
This role will report to the hotel GM and the Financial Controller

**Main Duties**
1. Carry out daily checks of revenue via an Operations Audit as per hotel standards
2. Processing invoices and liaising with other departments and suppliers on invoice queries and follow up on any discrepancies.
3. Timely monitoring of cost vs budget/forecast within the hotel
4. Taking ownership of periodic supplier payments
5. Maintaining supplier ledger and reconciling supplier statements to the ledger.
6. Reconciliation and payments of travel agent commissions.
7. Reconciliation of daily revenues, ensuring charges have been recorded accurately.
8. Resolve and correct any variances within a timely manner
9. Daily revenue uploads to the accounting system
10. Monitoring guest ledger and paymaster accounts, ensuring balances are accurate and accounts are checked out in a timely manner.
11. Ensure all ledger control accounts within the accounting system are always in balance, reconciling and resolving where necessary.
12. Review and check revenue adjustments, guest refunds, complimentary items and house charges.
13. Preparation and distribution of internal daily revenue reporting.
14. Assist the Financial Controller with any additional duties that may be required other than the above and any ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Financial Controller
15. To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by Hotel Management
**Skills & Experience**
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Good knowledge of office administration and bookkeeping procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills Team building skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Opera PMS knowledge (preferable)
- Sage 200 knowledge (preferable)

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: £24,999.00-£25,000.00 per year
