**The M.R. Trust**

Over 2000 learning disabled or autistic people in England are still living unnecessarily restricted and distressed lives in inpatient mental health hospitals due to a lack of specialist support in the community. James’ support is an example of a small individualised support service which is at the heart of ‘Transforming Care’ for such individuals. A close and creative collaboration between family and skilled and dedicated support workers enables James to benefit from those pillars of security and liberty we all need: home, family, lasting relationships with people who understand us, freedom to go out, choice and control over our lives, opportunities to follow a special interest, to learn and contribute. By working with us you will make a difference to the life of one individual who is amongst the most vulnerable adults in our community, and in doing so will develop specialist knowledge and skills which are much needed, and therefore are greatly valued.

We seek employees who are also passionate about enabling those with autism to enjoy full rights and access to our community, and who are able to provide him with the emotional security and the structured, stimulating days he needs.

We offer extensive training and on-going support to our extremely valuable staff.

**If you share our values, and have personal or work experience of supporting or teaching/tutoring people with autism/ASD, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, brain injury and/or mental health problems we would love to hear from you.**
