**PET-Xi is hiring Join Our Mission to Empower Learners Maths and English Teacher Wanted in Peterborough**

We have a brand-new opportunity for an experienced **Maths or English Teacher** to teach post 16 students, GCSE Maths or English

You will be primarily responsible for the delivery of pre-designed**key stage 3-4 Maths or English**materials, that means:

- No Marking
- No lesson planning
- Pre-prepared lesson materials

**The skills & experience you’ll bring**:

- Previous experience with engaging and motivating learners
- Ability to engage with and inspire learners by using appropriate training techniques and inter-personal skills
- Create an appropriate learning environment and maintain a disciplinary framework by demonstrating a strong 'presence’ in the classroom
- Be capable of modifying delivery method dependant on the learners in the group
- Be able to work to deadlines
- Have good ICT skills using Microsoft Office software
- The ability to adapt to different learning styles at pace

In order to deliver/assess this qualification to PET-Xi standards, staff must hold (or be working towards):

- Qualified Tutor Status (QTS)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- City & Guilds Certificate in Further Education Teaching (7407)
- City & Guilds Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) (7305)
- City & Guilds Further and Adult Education Tutor’s Certificate (7307)
- City & Guilds Initial Certificate in Teaching Basic Skills (9281).
- An Enhanced current DBS is a must, preferably on the update service. (Essential)

**Personal Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Presentation, written and verbal
- Time management and organisational skills
- Ability to manage own diary

**Qualifications & experience**:

- Industry experience/exposure (essential)
