Brighton, United Kingdom Teaching Personnel Full time

Teaching Personnel is looking for experienced tutors who can work with young people for the following three reasons:

- We support local authorities to put access to education in place for young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) including those with SEN, and/or those who are Looked After Children (LAC)
- We are an approved supplier of tutors for the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) which involves tutoring the children who have most fallen behind in school due to covid-19
- We provide tutors to work in schools and other settings with students who have recently come to the UK and speak little to no English (ESOL training/experience required)

We mostly take referrals for secondary age students, and primarily you will be asked to deliver numeracy and literacy at either functional skills level or GCSE level.

The recent locations we have taken referrals for tutors include:Brighton, Littlehampton, Hove, Crawley& Eastbourne. Referrals have all been for in person tuition since we came back in September 2021 - it is unlikely we will get any referrals for onlinetuition from now on.

Timings are generally flexible, although you need to be available for work within school hours, Monday to Friday, term time only.

£25/hour pay rate for 1:1 tuition; £30/hour pay rate for 1:2 or 1:3 tuition - we are a PAYE company so we pay half of your national insurance contribution, plus we also pay into a pension scheme for you for as long as you work for us.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
