**Your Role**

**Service Line**: Mental Health Adults (Rehabilitation and Recovery)

**Summary of the site**:
Cygnet Brighouse is a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men who have severe and enduring mental illness and who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act. The individuals we support come to us following multiple placement breakdowns,failed treatment programmes or stepping down from secure settings. The focus is on helping individuals increase their independence wherever possible through work and education, as well as social and leisure facilities, offering a slower stream rehabilitationservice where needed.

At Cygnet Brighouse we have a number of different options to help support individuals to move on. Patients have the opportunity to progress towards a flat which has 3 rooms, to enable service users to build their individual skills before discharge, whilestill having the full support of the multi-disciplinary team.

**Clinical**
: You would be responsible for the assessment and treatment of occupational dysfunction for 21 service users. The clinical role would focus on half of the service users at Cygnet Brighouse (Rehabilitation and Recovery). Youwill work with a full multidisciplinary team in a coordinated way to support each service user develop their skills and move through our clinical model of care from admission to discharge.

Cygnet Brighouse has 2 Occupational Therapists an OT assistant and an activity coordinators for 21 service users.

**Occupational Therapy Directorate**

Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & becomeinvolved in service development.

Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.

We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.
