**Environmental and Sustainability Manager**

As an Environment and Sustainability Manager, you'll ensure that the organisation is operating in accordance with legal guidelines and targets. Your role will involve examining corporate activities to determine where improvements can be made and ensuringcompliance with environmental legislation across the logistics organisation.

You will also create, implement, and monitor environmental strategies to promote sustainable development. Your wide remit means you will review the whole operation, carrying out audits and assessments, identifying and resolving problems and ensuring necessarychanges are implemented.

**Key Responsibilities**:
¦Create and implement environmental policies and act as champion for environmental issues within the logistics organisation

¦Working to deliver exceptional performance across key metrics and KPI measures in line with

functional and organisational goals and objectives

¦Responsible for devising environmental & sustainability strategies that deliver best practice

¦To ensure that all environmental processes are developed and kept up to date against industry requirements

¦Responsible for devising environmental & sustainability strategies that deliver best practice

¦To drive a continuous improvement culture to achieve optimal performance.

¦To liaise with regulatory bodies such as the environment agency

**Governance**:
¦Driving an environmental culture in all sites by ensuring the logistics management team is accountable for compliance

¦Raising awareness of environmental compliance and consistently reviewing these practices whilst

continually implementing improvements to the working environment.

¦To keep up to date with relevant changes in environmental legislation and initiatives

¦To ensure the warehouse operation operates within company guidelines and legislative requirements to protect all site personnel (colleagues, contractors, visitors etc) and ensure that operational compliance and reputation is maintained.

¦Support in the development, implementation and sustaining of the company values and standards

**People**:
¦To assist in ensuring that all appropriate training and development is planned and delivered to meet both current and future environmental legislation

¦Holding regular reviews with the management teams to strengthen engagement and support development

¦Acting as a key member of the logistics leadership team by actively demonstrating the standards behaviours and values to drive team effectiveness across the business

¦Embracing the 1LKQ Europe programme.

**Operations**:
¦Achieving operational excellence by ensuring the function consistently meets its agreed service levels and standards

¦Helping to shape the controls and measures the logistics operation adheres to, to ensure continued operational improvements

¦Ensuring careful planning of the operation to optimise cost effectiveness

¦To assist with planning and executing all resource requirements ensuring that the right people, processes, and equipment are in place so that the agreed warehouse operational plan is met, and environmental service levels and productivity maintained.

¦Verification and/or development of operational procedures and instructions to meet contract requirements.

¦Maintenance of training records. Experience, Attributes and Competencies

**Customer**:
¦Creating a customer focused mindset throughout the function, ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything we do

**Financial**:
¦Working collaboratively with support functions to reduce budgetary spend

¦Improving financial performance for the operational teams across the sites, supporting and developing the operational management team to drive efficiencies in this area

¦Implementing initiatives to achieve the required payroll, head count, distribution and controllable

contribution targets as agreed with the senior executive team.
