Technical Consultant required on a permanent basis for a leading Consultancy operating within the private and public sectors, delivering complex and critical projects to limited timescales. Working with end-clients such as, the Home Office, MoD, HM Treasury,MoJ, Police and Fire Services and the NHS; as well as private national and international clients.
As a Technical Consultant, you will have the opportunity to provide support to a wide range of high-profile UK public sector and defence organisations. Your help will enable them to get the maximum benefit from their technology investments, and in doing soplay a key role in nationally critical projects which make a real difference to people’s everyday lives.**Role Summary**:

- Develop strategies for future delivery of ICT services to meet business needs
- Work in accordance with the Government’s ICT and other strategies
- Define end-to-end architectures including Business, Applications, Data and Infrastructure
- Produce User and Service Requirements Documentation
- Deliver key Concept and Assessment Phase products
- Support large ICT procurements, including developing documentation, and evaluating strategies and bids
- Provide technical assurance, that proposed solutions are fit for purpose

**Experience Required**:

- Enterprise and Technical Architecture development using EA frameworks and methods e.g. TOGAF, MODAF
- Business or systems analysis methods and tools, e.g. BPMN, UML
- Software development methods and techniques e.g. Agile methods such as SCRUM
- Information security policy standards e.g. ISO27001 / ISO27002, Cyber Essentials
- Programme and Project Management methods e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, DSDM, Scaled Agile Framework
- Public sector best practice guidance, e.g. ITIL, OGC toolkit
- Standard methodologies for:

- Systems integration and testing
- Requirements capture and analysis
- Feasibility studies and business case development
- Information systems security
- Cost modelling and investment appraisal
- Procurement and Contracting Strategies
