Which hopefully is where you come in. * The journey so far:* What's happened over the last few years: **The role**: A YuLife Product Owner or Product Analyst is responsible for leading a squad towards the delivery of products and features that ultimately helps us achieve our desired Objectives & Key Results (OKRs). They will be responsible for working to support our Data Science and Analytics functions to elicit and capture requirements around new initiatives and partnerships. They will also be integrated alongside other Product Owners, the Engineers, and Designers (where applicable) to produce easy to use data products that have a high impact on yulife’s internal squads and end users - that are also compliant and meet industry and regulatory requirements. They are confident, excellent communicators and can represent the YuLife Data team in meetings and negotiations with Third party providers and Data partners as well as communicate our plans and progress inside the company. They are able to understand and elicit relevant requirements, are able to ask ‘why’, and challenge assumptions in a friendly and collaborative manner. They understand the importance of exceptional user experience and the importance of trust for both internal and external customers. * Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* - As the Product Owner you will own the Data team’s delivery of work towards achieving our OKRs. - Understand the data product vision and convert it into requirements at various levels for the team to continuously deliver on. - Work closely with the Head of Data to create and maintain a product backlog and roadmap aligned to the data vision and strategy. - Develop and prioritise epics and stories with clear acceptance criteria to ensure the delivery of high quality output that maximises value and creates joyful experiences. - Acting as a liaison between other product squads and Data whilst ensuring the team maintains their own well-rounded knowledge of business operations. - Maintain the backlog, plan iterations, and elaborate on user stories or hypotheses. - Communicate product and feature progress across the company. - Work with third party companies to identify integration activities and ensure their delivery. - Support the team with stakeholder interviews, gathering user feedback, interpreting qualitative and quantitative data and turn them into actionable insight (tool-usage and data literacy). - Help Encourage and motivate the squad on a daily basis. - Use our tools to help test and assess the suitability of new and existing products. - Has worked in Data & Analytics related fields for 4+ years with understanding of modern data tooling. - Has experience in eliciting requirements using multiple means and determining their appropriateness to a given situation, including workshops, interviews, etc. - Team player, who can give guidance to the team without alienating them. - Excellent communication skills including concise and accurate writing style. - Great people skills, a natural interviewer, and quickly gathering information from others. - Demonstrable problem-solving skills. - Strong analytical skills, able to identify the whole picture to a detailed level. - Well-rounded technical knowledge with an understanding of analytics and associated terminology. - Drives the importance of strong information architecture and associated data documentation. - An understanding of what is commercially viable to the business. - Product Owner certification is desirable but not required. - Experience of using Jira or other project management-related software. **What you’ll get**: We like to give more than we take so here are some of our benefits: - A competitive base salary - Potential to earn share options - 6x salary life assurance policy - Income protection policy - Access to the YuLife app (which includes a tonne of well-being rewards, discounts and exclusive offers as well as access to Meditopia and Fiit) - £20 per month to a "be your best Yu" budget - Unlimited Monthly professional coaching with More Happi - OnHand Volunteering app - Learning Budget - Financial coaching with Octopus Money coach - Generous parental leave policies - Remote working packing; includes laptop, desk, chair etc. - Contributory pension = 3% of basic - 24 days Annual Leave + 1 ‘personal’ day (e.g your birthday, moving house anything else that is for Yu) - Remote and flexible working - Currently
