_**Sous Chef - £30k to £32k - Residential Luxury Retirement Complex - NW London / Harrow**_

This opportunity of a Sous Chef, is located within a luxury retirement complex, offering its residents who have their own private apartments, a 5* Hotel service and luxury retirment living. The applicant must be friendly and approachable, speak with homeownersdirect. You must have at least 2 rosette standard experience, be dedicated, excellent skill set and anyone shortlisted will be invited for a cook off. They are looking for long Gevity and people that want to progress within the organisation, which is expanding.

Responsible for all aspects of managing the kitchen and the respective employees, ensuring quality preparation and service delivery of all menu items. Maintains all department expenses with-in the budgeted guidelines based on census in accordance with allcompany standards and operating procedures. Fully responsible for the kitchen and controls in the absence of the Head Chef. Promotes resident satisfaction through understanding their preferences. Trains and develops staff for growth and opportunity to meetthe demand of qualified employees needed for continued company success.

**SALARY ETC**:

- £30k to £32k + benefits
- Permanent, full-time
- Restaurant opening times: Monday - 10-8pm, Tuesday - 10-8pm, Wednesday - 10-8pm, Thursday - 10-8pm, Friday - Closed (Off), Saturday - 10-8pm & Sunday - Closed (Off).
- Covers: 60 covers for Restaurant, 70 covers for events as and when.
- Permanent, full-time
- NW London / Harrow

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experienced in a similar role as a Sous Chef, or Snr CDP ready for their next step up, within a Hotel or similar high standard F&B outlet.
- To have experience catering to at least 2 rosette standards.
- To have a friendly, approachable and patient manner, willing to speak with the residents / home owners.
- To have experience in catering for events up to 70 covers, restaurant of 60 covers and small bar service.
- To be looking for a very hands on position, as you will be one of the main chefs in this small friendly brigade.
- Have a passion for quality and presentation of food to high standards.

**DUTIES TO INCLUDE**:

- Organizes high volumes of work while maintaining a quality product.
- Purchases food quantities, factoring in the number of residents by meal period.
- Complies with all state and local operating regulations.
- Ability to communicate with staff and residents both verbally and in writing.
- Applies all required cooking techniques based on standard menus.
- Adheres to all corporate purchasing programs.
- Plans for special events and holiday functions.
- Assists in budgetary and payroll expense control as required
- Maintains proper food holding temperatures at all times.
- Works on line during peak service periods and assists when needed.
- Takes month-end food inventory and extend totals accurately.
- Reads and understands financial performance and results.
- Accurately observes and defines staff performance issues and provides corrective solutions.
- Always follows company operating standards.
