**Activity Coordinator**
As an activity coordinator for Midlands Care you will spend the majority of your time developing and planning programs, outings and events whilst also staffing these events and overseeing the implementation of activities.
**A typical day as an Activity Coordinator**
**An activity coordinator plays an extremely important role within the life of our service users.**
You will develop and plan programs, outings and events, staffing the events and overseeing the implementation of activities. Ensure the programme reflects the current population of the service users wishes and preferences. You will also support and enable Service Users to access social networks and maintain personal interests in accordance with best practice, agreed standards, legislation and within the financial budget.
Maintain skills at a current level, undertake such training and development as required from time-to-time to maintain and progress knowledge whilst also organizing and planning activity programmes reflecting Service User’s preferences. Producing newsletters to inform Service Users and their relatives/friends about what’s been going on. Support Service Users to access the internet and develop communication such as letter writing, Skype and FaceTime.
You will also be planning events within the allocated budget. Above all, you will ensure Service Users are at the heart of events and programmes to enhance their wellbeing
