**Teaching Assistant**
This role is to support a child in KS2 who needs input from a caring and understanding teaching assistant. Your role will involve supporting the young person in a group setting, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they need to thrive both academically and socially. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide small group support to KS2 students with SEN, focusing on Autism and sensory needs.
- Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs and interventions designed to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create and implement effective learning environment.
- Create a structured environment by building trust/ using positive reinforcement and developing communication skills.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback and contributing to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience working with SEN students, particularly those with Autism and sensory needs.
- Strong understanding of KS2 curriculum along with being able to adapt to a variety of teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Personal care may be required.

**Reliability** - Be there for the student to offer continuity of learning.
A new enhanced DBS will be required for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.
**Requirements**:
- A Teaching Assistant Qualification OR relevant SEN Background
- ASD, Complex needs experience
- Recent school based references
- Valid ID documents
- A valid Right to Work in the UK
- Live within easy commuting distance

- Have you worked in a UK school for at least 1 year? (required)
