We are working with a friendly and supportive school in Ashington that is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic HLTA to join their team.

**Key Responsibilities**:As an HLTA, your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities to pupils across the curriculum
- Providing cover for teachers when needed Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation and assessment
- Work closely with the teachers to plan
- Prepare and assess lessons, and to provide feedback and guidance to pupils and parents

**Requirements** : To excel in this role, you should have:

- Proactivity, resilience, kindness and empathy
- An **enhanced DBS** on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
- A full checkable work history
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification
- Experience of working as a Primary HLTA or a similar role in a primary school setting
- Knowledge of the primary curriculum and the national standards for teaching and learning
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive and flexible attitude
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
