Transport Planner

**Client Details**

Our client is a well known FMCG business across the UK, due to recent expansion we are pleased to announce my client is looking for Senior Transport Planners and Transport Planners to join their business.

This is predominately a Monday - Friday role however there is the opportunity to work Sunday - Thursday where shifts on a Sunday are only 4 hours

**Description**
- Produce cost effective daily transport schedules
- Direct resources to provide the optimum service.
- Maintain and manage the scheduling data
- Update reports and KPIs
- Build relationships within the business
- Analyse the network and implement change.
- Provide analytical data/reports

**Profile**
- Reliable, responsible and punctual
- IT competent.
- Ability to work effectively as a senior member of a small team
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to quickly assess and process large volumes of data, with an aptitude for fitting things together visually and numerically
- Previous experience of networked environments and routing software
- Previous experience of home delivery networks
- Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Financial acumen.
- An understanding of vehicle compliance and driver's hours (advantageous)
- Supervisory experience (advantageous)
- Great People skills.
