Market Researcher
**Team: Sales and Marketing**

**About the role**
This is a key role supporting the Group Sales and Marketing Director and Head of Sales in providing up to the minute market intelligence and insight in order to retain Hopkins Homes’ competitive advantage in both the sale of homes and the purchase of land.
You will work closely with both the Sales and Marketing and Land teams to gather and communicate market intelligence. This role supports the Land team in bid preparation, optimisation and preparing market research commentary for acquisition. You will also work with the Design teams in the mix and layouts of forthcoming developments. The role will include regular repricing of current and forthcoming sites.
**Your main responsibilities will include**
- Responding to internal requests for market information by providing local competitor and second hand market information.
- Identifying the target market and optimum product mix for sales schemes.
- Assessing target customer information, profile and affordability.
- Conducting research and producing site acquisition schedules and reports, adhering to industry valuation methods and using available software.
- Monitoring and analysing sales performance against pricing strategies and new local market changes, suggesting adjustments as needed.
- Assistance in quarterly revaluation of all developments.
- Collaborating with various teams to prepare launch pricing strategies for Board approval.
- Coordinating and verifying independent and third party information to form a house-view.
- Speaking with agents and Sales Consultants to gather market information on sales prices and sales rate.
- Visiting land opportunities across East Anglia.
- Staying updated on industry news and policy trends, sharing briefing notes and market updates with the Sales and Marketing team.
- Informing the future specification and layout of Hopkins Homes product in response to market trends.
- Attendance at team meetings and head office as required.

- Extensive new homes valuation/sales expertise
- Passionate about keeping our values and vision at the heart of everything we do
- A collaborative and responsible member of a team, able to take accountability for work
- An independent self-starter, able to use initiative to determine business priorities
- Full UK Driving licence
**Desirable**
- Ability to multi-task with good time management
- Knowledge of land appraisal and price comparison/valuation models
- Experience of using land valuation software and Rightmove Plus
- Prior experience of new homes or land acquisition
- Proficient IT skills
