We working with a leading global bank (London) that is looking to hire a European Economist with 4-8 years' experience.

The role will also involve forecasting/modeling (eg. GDP Forecasting, Inflation Forecasting), as well as having a strong understanding key political developments in your selected countries that could potentially impact the macro landscape.

Experience with Python is desirable (but not required), as well as good experience with Econometrics (and using Eviews - a big plus) and modeling. Any previous experience covering thematic topics (such as inflation, fiscal policy etc) would also be a bigplus.

This is a well-respected team with a great culture and a very team-driven working environment. There would also be a lot of interaction with Sales & Trading, as well as the strategists and other key members of the macro team globally.

There is also flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or MSc in economics or related field
- Experience covering some European Countries or the UK as an Economist
- Analytical and quantitative skills - knowledge of Python, R, Matlab, VBA and any other coding languages
- Strong with Econometric Analysis/Forecasting/Modeling
- Experience writing about thematic topics (eg. fiscal policy)
- Experience building Economic/Macro models
- Excellent communication skills
