**Information Security Analyst**
**Southampton - Fully Remote**
**6 Months**
**£500 - £550p/d - Umbrella Only**

Fantastic new contract opportunity for an experienced Information Security Analyst with this market leading retail business. You will support the Information Security & Risk Manager in ensuring that the Banner risks and threats are managed in line with theirrisk appetite. You will do this by providing technical expertise and interpreting data to determine the risks that exist, and the action required to mitigate them on a range of security focused projects.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the Information Security & Risk Managers in providing support services to the Banners.
- Develop strong relationships with Banner/Group Function to enable the delivery of effective support.
- Develop an understanding of business goals and reframe risk discussions in business terms.
- Educate Banner/Group Functions colleagues on cybersecurity-related matters to increase awareness and improve culture.
- Identify opportunities to improve and increase the services to the Banner/Group Function.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a detailed risk and threat landscape for the Banner/Group Function.
- Ensure all solutions are delivered 'Secure by Design'.
- Perform supplier assurance reviews in support of legal and commercial activities.
- Execute assurance reviews against Information Security policies and standards to ensure IT systems continue to operate securely.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports to support the findings of all reviews and activities.

**Skills and Experience required**:

- Proven experience within a similar Information Security Analyst position.
- Experience in information security management principles or strong technical skills.
- Good knowledge of standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP.
- A working knowledge of one or more of the following Windows, Unix, Oracle, SAP, Cloud, Digital, Networks, IoT.
- An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative, and actionable manner.
- Understanding of the business relevance of information security risks and the current trends and developments in information security.
- Excellent prioritization capabilities, with an aptitude for breaking down work into manageable parts, effectively assessing the priority and time required to complete each part.
- Has good judgment, a sense of urgency and has demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity.
- Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
- Strong team values, recognises the value of a positive team environment and contributes to the creation of this.
